Overview

Blockchain has plenty of talk around it and comparatively few developers who can actually ship a working decentralised application. This course is aimed squarely at closing that gap on one of the faster, more practical platforms in the space.

It gives software developers the core knowledge and hands-on skill to build decentralised applications on Algorand. You start with the fundamentals of blockchain itself, then move into what makes Algorand distinctive: its pure proof of stake consensus mechanism, its transaction model, and how smart contracts work on the platform. From there it becomes practical, working with the Algorand developer environment, PyTeal and Algorand Standard Assets to design, implement and deploy dApps.

Algorand is known for speed and security, and the ecosystem around it is still small enough that developers with real skill stand out. The course is delivered through video lessons, reading material, hands-on labs and case studies, so you finish with something you have built rather than something you have watched.
