Our AICTE-approved PGDM programme is designed to deliver a dynamic and industry-relevant learning experience tailored to the evolving needs of business management. PROGRAM DURATION
It is a two-year, full-time programme structured under a trimester system, with three terms in the first year and three terms in the second year. The programme offers two specialization streams:
- MARKETING and FINANCE
- AI AND DATA SCIENCES
Major specialization courses, also referred to as elective courses, are offered from Term-III onwards. Students are required to indicate their choice of specialization at the beginning of Term-I to facilitate academic planning.
ACADEMIC CALENDAR
The AI-centric PGDM programme offered by the Institute is a regular, full-time programme of two years’ duration. Each academic year is divided into three terms, with each term lasting approximately three months, including one week allocated for mid-term assessments and end-term examinations.
ATTENDANCE POLICY
A student will be considered to have regularly pursued the programme only if they have attended at least 85% of the classes and practical sessions in each subject during every trimester, as certified by the Director. Students who do not meet this requirement will not be allowed to appear for the trimester examinations. In exceptional cases, the Director may condone a shortage of attendance based on merit.
LEAVE POLICY
Students must maintain a minimum of 85% attendance in each subject during a term to be eligible to appear for mid-term and end-term examinations. Up to 15% absence may be considered for genuine contingencies, including medical reasons.
Leaves shall not be granted for social obligations, passport-related work, or family matters, and no leave application is required for such reasons. Students seeking leave due to a medical emergency must submit a formal application to the Class coordinator along with valid medical evidence. Mere medical certificates will not be accepted; supporting documents such as prescriptions and medical reports must be submitted within three days of rejoining the Institute.
Leave requests for other unforeseen circumstances are subject to the sole discretion of the Class Coordinator. Applications submitted late or without valid supporting documents will be rejected. The Institute reserves the right to approve or reject any leave request, and such decisions shall be final and binding. All leave applications are subject to final approval by the Director.
EXAMINATION PROCESS
The Institute follows a system of continuous evaluation across all courses. Each course carries a total of 100 marks. Assessment includes two compulsory examinations: the Mid-term examination (20 marks) and the End-term examination (40 marks). The remaining 40 marks are allocated to faculty-driven evaluation components, which may include presentations, role plays, case study analysis, group discussions, assignments, quizzes, mini-projects, and similar activities.
GENERAL GUIDELINES FOR END-TERM EXAMINATIONS
- End-Term Examinations shall be of two hours’ duration, and the standard question paper pattern is available on the Institute’s website.
- Students shall be assessed as per the course examinations prescribed in the approved course structure for the respective term.
- The End-term examinations shall be conducted by the Controller of examinations and validated and approved by the examination committee.
- The examination schedule shall be notified by the Controller of examinations at least ten days prior to the commencement of the examinations.
- Students must have a minimum of 85% attendance in each trimester course to be eligible to appear for the End-term examination.
- The Examination department shall issue an admit card containing the subject code and course name. Students must verify the details and report any discrepancies immediately.
- Possession of a valid admit card is mandatory for appearing in the End-term examination for each course.
SUPPLEMENTARY EXAMINATIONS
A student who obtains a grade below D (i.e., F) in any subject shall be required to reappear for the supplementary examination in that course upon payment of the prescribed examination fee. The supplementary examination shall be conducted for a maximum of 40 marks.
A student shall not be eligible for the award of the PGDM after three unsuccessful attempts in the supplementary examinations and shall be declared failed. Students may reappear in courses in which they have not secured the minimum passing marks, as per the supplementary examination schedule. Cases of failure shall also include students who are debarred due to shortage of attendance.
