The two-year PGDM program at PRTF is a full-time, residential program designed to develop future business leaders and entrepreneurs. At PRTF, the PGDM goes beyond conventional management education by integrating Artificial Intelligence, Data science, marketing, and finance into its academic core. What is PGDM Management?
PGDM (Post Graduate Diploma in Management) is a full-time (usually 2-year) industry-oriented management program offered by autonomous institutions approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE). It equips students with practical knowledge, skills, and tools for leadership and managerial roles across various sectors like finance, marketing, operations, HR, consulting, operations, and strategy.
What exactly is an AI-centric PGDM, and how is it different from a regular PGDM or MBA?
A regular PGDM covers management fundamentals; marketing, finance, operations, HR largely unchanged from how they were taught a decade ago. An AI-centric PGDM integrates Artificial Intelligence as a lens through which every management function is understood and practiced. At PRTF, AI is not a standalone elective or an add-on module, it runs through the entire two-year curriculum as a progressive track: AI Literacy in Term 1, AI Application across every functional subject in Terms 2 and 3, and AI Strategy and consulting in Term 3. By the time you graduate, you don’t just understand management you understand how to lead organizations in an AI-driven world.
I am a fresh graduate with no work experience. Is this program suitable for me?
Yes, the program is specifically designed for fresh graduates. No prior work experience is required. The curriculum starts from foundational management concepts and builds progressively. By the end of Year 1, every student regardless of whether they come from commerce, arts, science, or engineering will be AI-fluent, analytically strong, and ready for a corporate internship. The paid corporate internship between Year 1 and Year 2 ensures you graduate with real industry experience on your resume.
I am a working professional looking to upskill. Can I join this program?
The PGDM at PRTF is a full-time residential program, making it ideal for professionals who are ready to step out of the workforce for two years to make a significant career leap. If you are looking to transition into AI-driven roles, move from a functional to a leadership position, or pivot industries entirely, this program provides the structured environment, credentials, and placement support to make that transition effectively. Many of our applicants come with 1–4 years of work experience and find that their professional background accelerates their learning considerably.
Do I need a technical or engineering background to benefit from the AI-curriculum?
No. The program is explicitly designed with the assumption that students have no coding or mathematics background. The AI-curriculum is built around applied fluency, learning to use AI-tools, understand AI-outputs, and make AI-informed decisions, rather than building algorithms from scratch. By the end of the first year, every student, regardless of their undergraduate discipline, will be able to work confidently with AI in a business context.
Through the first three trimesters our students will go through three phases which are, AI-Literacy, AI application and AI-Strategy.
What are the specializations offered in the PGDM program?
The program offers two specialization tracks in the second year:
- Dual Specialization in Marketing and Finance — covering consumer insights, brand building, digital and social media marketing, integrated communications, financial decision-making, investment management, corporate valuation, and international markets.
- AI and Data Science — covering Big Data technologies (Hadoop and Spark), data engineering, natural language processing (NLP) and sentiment analysis, machine learning, deep learning, generative AI, and multi-agent and agentic AI systems.
Both specializations are built on the AI-fluent foundation established in Year 1, so regardless of which track you choose, you graduate as an AI-literate manager.
What does the two-year curriculum journey look like?
The program is structured across six trimesters:
Year 1 (Terms 1–3): Core management subjects including Managerial Economics, Marketing Management, Corporate Finance, Operations Management, Human Resource Management, Business Analytics, and Strategic Management — all with an integrated AI application layer running through every term.
Between Year 1 and Year 2: Paid corporate internship, giving you live industry exposure before you return for specialization.
Year 2 (Terms 4–6): A specialization screening assessment for those pursuing AI and Data Science. Elective specialization courses in your track, a major project, interview preparation.
What AI tools and technologies will I actually learn to use?
The AI curriculum covers both conceptual understanding and practical application. Students engage with tools and technologies across machine learning, generative AI platforms, and data analytics frameworks. The AI and Data Science specialization goes deeper into Big Data technologies including Hadoop and Spark, deep learning architectures, natural language processing and emerging areas like agentic AI systems. The Marketing and Finance specialization applies AI to market research, consumer analytics, financial modelling, and investment analysis. The goal throughout is not to make you a programmer but to make you someone who can lead AI-powered teams and make informed AI strategy decisions.
What is the eligibility criteria for the PGDM program at PRTF?
To be eligible for the AI-centric PGDM program at PRTF School of Management, candidates must hold a Bachelor’s degree in any discipline from a recognized university, with a minimum of 50% aggregate marks or equivalent CGPA. Candidates from SC, ST, or PWD categories are eligible with a minimum of 45% marks. There is no restriction on undergraduate discipline — students from Science, Commerce, Arts, Engineering, and any other stream are welcome to apply.
What is the total fee for the PGDM program?
The total program fee for the two-year AI-centric PGDM at PRTF is ₹7 Lakhs. This covers the complete two-year program. Given the AICTE approval, the AI-enabled curriculum, assured placement support, and incubation facilities included, the fee positions PRTF as one of the most value-driven PGDM programs in the Delhi NCR region.
Are scholarships available? How can I apply?
Yes. PRTF offers merit-based scholarships of up to 50% on the program fee, which means eligible students can access the full program at ₹3.5 Lakhs. Can I get an education loan for this program?
Yes. Since PRTF’s PGDM program is approved by AICTE, it qualifies for education loans from most nationalized and private banks in India. Students are advised to approach their bank of choice with the AICTE approval documentation and admission letter. The admissions office can also provide supporting documents required for loan processing.
What is the placement support offered by PRTF?
PRTF offers assured job placement support as part of the program. A dedicated training and placement team works with students throughout the two years not just in the final semester. This includes structured skill development sessions, mock interviews, industry interaction, and active corporate outreach. Our ecosystem of partner companies spans sectors including technology, BFSI, consulting, FMCG, Agri-tech, Healthcare, and startups.
What kinds of roles can I expect after completing this PGDM?
Graduates of the AI-centric PGDM are positioned for roles such as Business Analyst, Marketing Manager, Finance Analyst, Data Analyst, AI-Strategy Consultant, Product Manager, Operations Manager, and Business Development Manager, among others. Students from Life Sciences or Agribusiness backgrounds are additionally supported for roles in pharma analytics, agri-tech management, healthcare consulting, and biotech business development.
What is the expected salary after completing the PGDM program at PRTF?
The salary range for PGDM graduates in India typically falls between ₹5 Lakhs and ₹15 Lakhs per annum at the entry level, with significant upward movement based on specialization, industry, and experience. Graduates with AI and Data Science specialization are particularly well-positioned given the current demand for AI-literate managers across industries.
Does PRTF have an incubation facility for students who want to start their own business?
Yes. PRTF runs a dedicated startup incubation centre, Pathfinder Foundation Innovation, supported under the UP IT and Startup Policy 2020. The incubator provides students with mentoring, funding guidance, acceleration support, and administrative assistance to help them launch and scale their own ventures. Entrepreneurship is treated as a legitimate and supported career outcome of the program, not just an afterthought.
