Overview
This program takes students from a free ChatGPT account to genuine AI fluency in 25 hours of structured, in-person, lab-first instruction on a regulated AICTE-approved campus. Delivered in partnership with CloudThat by certified corporate trainers, the curriculum is designed to upgrade coursework, project development, and placement readiness. More than half the program is hands-on: 19+ hours are labs and practice activities. Enrollment is capped at 50 students to ensure close lab supervision, direct trainer access, and individual feedback on every capstone.

- Practice responsible AI standards, including fact-checking responses, identifying hallucinations, and validating information
Curriculum
Module 1: Introduction to Generative AI and the OpenAI Ecosystem
Topics: What generative AI actually is; the evolution of AI and large language models; understanding ChatGPT; the OpenAI ecosystem (ChatGPT, Codex, image generation, AI assistants); and real-world applications of AI in education and work.
Lab: Explore the ChatGPT interface, ask AI to explain both a technical and a non-technical concept, and compare search-engine results against AI-generated responses.
Activity: Identify how AI can assist in your own chosen career path.
Module 2: Prompt Engineering Fundamentals
Topics: The anatomy of an effective prompt; zero-shot, few-shot, role-based, and chain-of-thought prompting; prompt refinement techniques; and the common mistakes almost every casual user makes.
Lab: Design prompts for academic tasks, rewrite poor prompts into effective ones, and build a set of reusable prompt templates for daily use.
Activity: A class-wide competition to generate the best output through prompt refinement.
Module 3: Academic Productivity with ChatGPT
Topics: Research assistance, literature review support, summarization techniques, note generation, concept explanation, creating study plans, and improving written communication.
Lab: Convert your own textbook content into revision notes, generate flashcards, and create a personalized study schedule.
Activity: Use AI to learn an unfamiliar topic, then teach it to your peers.
Module 4: AI for Coding and Programming using Codex
Topics: Introduction to Codex; AI-assisted software development; understanding code generation; code explanation and debugging; refactoring; unit test generation; documentation; and learning new programming languages with AI. No prior programming knowledge required.
Lab: Generate a Python program, debug faulty code, convert plain logic into working code, explain an existing codebase, and generate project documentation.
Activity: Solve coding challenges with AI assistance.
Module 5: Building Student Projects with AI
Topics: Project ideation using AI, requirement gathering, project planning, generating documentation, creating user stories, building prototypes, and AI-assisted project management.
Lab: Generate project ideas, create a project charter, and build a project roadmap.
Activity: In teams, design a complete project proposal using AI.
Module 6: Data Insights and Presentations with AI
Topics: Understanding data with ChatGPT; working with Excel and CSV files; finding trends and patterns; generating insights; creating reports and summaries; building presentations with AI; and presenting findings effectively.
Lab: Analyze a sample dataset, generate key insights, create a report summary, and build a presentation from the analysis.
Activity: Analyze a student survey or sales dataset and produce a five-slide presentation highlighting your findings and recommendations.
Module 7: Research and Responsible AI
Topics: AI-assisted research; asking analytical questions; fact-checking AI responses; identifying hallucinations; information validation techniques; and building research summaries.
Lab: Research an emerging technology, verify AI-generated information against trusted sources, and produce a research summary document.
Activity: Identify inaccurate AI responses and improve them.
Module 8: Capstone Challenge
Apply everything from the program in a complete, end-to-end project built with ChatGPT and Codex. Working in teams, you define a problem statement, create and refine prompts, generate your solution, and present it to the class.
Choose your track: research project, coding project, data analysis project, startup idea validation, or a career-preparation portfolio.
Deliverables you keep: a project proposal, a personal AI prompt library, a final presentation, and a project report.
Prerequisites
None beyond the basics. You need basic computer skills, familiarity with internet search and office tools, a free ChatGPT account, and a browser. No programming knowledge is required, the coding module teaches you to build with AI assistance, which is exactly how non-programmers now produce working software. An optional GitHub account is useful for the coding activities. The program is open to students from every stream, engineering to management.
