Admission

PRTF School of Management, Greater Noida is a leading B-School offering an AICTE-approved, two-year full-time PGDM programme with major specializations in Marketing, Finance, Human Resource Management, Operations Management, Data Analytics, and Entrepreneurship. The programme is structured across six terms, each of approximately 13–14 weeks. The first two terms focus on foundational courses across all core management areas. From Term III onwards, students pursue their chosen specialization. Minor projects, the summer internship, and the final dissertation form integral components of the programme and contribute significantly to applied learning and professional development. 

The admission process for the PGDM program at PRTF, Greater Noida is designed to identify and select candidates with the potential to excel in this specialized field. Admissions are conducted in accordance with the guidelines set by AICTE.

ADMINISTRATION OF THE PGDM PROGRAM

The Director shall serve as the overall in-charge of the PGDM programme and shall be responsible for its effective governance, strategic oversight, and smooth conduct. The Registrar shall oversee and monitor all administrative functions of the programme, including but not limited to admissions, records, compliance, and student support services.

The academic execution of the PGDM programme shall be led by the programme Chairperson, who shall be responsible for curriculum delivery, academic planning, and quality assurance. The programme coordinator and designated programme office staff shall assist the programme chairperson in the efficient management and implementation of all academic activities. All matters relating to academic policy, academic integrity, student discipline, and conduct shall be referred to the Director, whose decision shall be final and binding in accordance with applicable rules and regulations.

PROGRAMME CONTENTS AND DURATION

The PGDM programme comprises a structured set of courses designed to ensure comprehensive coverage of management education. Each course shall carry a defined credit value, reflecting its academic weightage and instructional hours, in accordance with the programme’s credit framework. The PGDM programme is a two-year, full-time course delivered through a trimester system, comprising six trimesters—three in each academic year. The programme offers four specialization streams:

  • Marketing
  • Finance
  • Human Resource Management
  • Data Analytics

Every student is required to pursue a major specialization from the approved areas, as per institutional policies and eligibility norms. Specialization (or elective) courses are offered from Term III. Students must indicate their preferred specialization at the beginning of Term I to facilitate academic planning. An elective will be offered only when it meets the minimum enrolment requirement of 25% of the batch or 25 students, whichever is lower, and is duly approved by the Director.

The PGDM programme at PRTF is designed to ensure holistic student development through value-added academic and experiential initiatives, including Certification courses, Corporate interface programmes, International linkages, CSR activities, Guest lectures, Live projects, and Industrial visits.

Each student enrolled in the PGDM programme shall be assigned a faculty or mentor to provide academic guidance, professional support, and mentoring throughout the duration of the programme.

An Induction Programme shall be conducted for all newly admitted students at the commencement of the academic session. Participation in the induction programme is mandatory. An induction programme usually introduces students to:

  • the institute’s culture, values, and expectations
  • the academic structure (trimesters, credits, specialisations)
  • faculty and administrative teams
  • campus facilities and resources
  • orientation workshops on communication, teamwork, ethics, and career development.

A maximum number of 120 students can be admitted to the PGDM managment programme.

The annual fee structure for the MBA two-year program is as follows:

Note: If AKTU issues any notice or circular regarding a reduction in fees, the balance amount will be refunded to the students accordingly. Besides the fees mentioned above, students will have to bear the costs for industrial activities, training and placement (non-mandatory).

Students who have appeared in the qualifying examinations and the results are awaited, will have to submit their documents by 30th September, 2025. If the student fails to submit the document by the stipulated date, the provisional admission may deem to be cancelled.

ACADEMIC CALENDAR

The PGDM programme is a two-year, full-time course delivered through a trimester system. Each academic year comprises three terms, with each term spanning approximately 13–14 weeks. This includes one week allocated for mid-term assessments or quizzes and one week for end-term examinations. The curriculum includes both core and elective courses. One credit corresponds to ten hours of academic engagement. A full course carries 3 credits (30 hours).

A detailed academic calendar is published separately and is available on the institute’s website. The institute reserves the right to revise the academic calendar as needed to ensure effective teaching–learning processes and to maintain an appropriate balance of curricular, co-curricular, and extracurricular activities.

ATTENDANCE POLICY

A student is considered to have pursued a regular course of study only if they have attended at least 85% of the total classroom and practical sessions for each course in every trimester. Students who do not meet this requirement will not be permitted to appear for the corresponding trimester examinations. The Director may, in exceptional circumstances and based on the merits of the case, grant limited relaxation to the attendance requirement.

LEAVE POLICY

Students must maintain a minimum of 85% attendance in each subject per term to be eligible for Mid-Term and End-Term examinations. Up to 15% absence may be permitted for genuine contingencies or medical reasons. Leave is not granted for social events, family obligations, or similar personal reasons, and no application is required in such cases.

Students seeking leave on medical grounds must submit a formal application to the Dean along with supporting documents such as prescriptions and medical reports. Medical certificates alone will not be accepted. All documents must be submitted within three days of rejoining the Institute.

Approval of leave in exceptional or unforeseen circumstances rests solely with the Dean. Late applications or applications without valid medical evidence will be rejected. The Institute reserves full discretion in approving or rejecting leave requests, and all decisions are final. All leave applications require the Director’s final approval.

GENERAL GUIDELINES FOR END-TERM EXAMINATIONS

  • End-term examinations are of two hours’ duration. The standard question paper pattern is available on the Institute’s website.

  • Examinations will be conducted as per the course structure prescribed for the respective trimester.
  • End-term examinations shall be conducted by the Controller of Examinations and validated and approved by the Examination Committee.
  • The examination schedule will be notified by the controller of examinations at least 10 days prior to the commencement of the examinations.
  • Students must have a minimum of 85% attendance in each trimester course to be eligible. The examination department will issue an admit card bearing the subject code and subject name. Students must immediately report any discrepancy to the examination department.
  • Possession of a valid admit card is mandatory for appearing in each course examination.

SCHOLARSHIPS

PRTF aspires to give the opportunity to pursue its programmes to all eligible applicants, who are in need of financial assistance. Keeping this in mind, PRTF has instituted a need-based scholarship scheme to complement the various scholarships provided by the industry and government. The scholarship amount is decided on the basis of several criteria such as academic performance, annual gross family income.
