Admission

The admission process for the MBA in Agribusiness Management is designed to identify and select candidates with the potential to excel in this specialized field. Admission to MBA will be made as per the guidelines prescribed by the AICTE/Academic Council of the AKTU Lucknow/Government of UP. Aspiring students must follow the AKTU admission process for entry into the program. The AKTU MBA application form should be submitted online via the official website. Candidates interested in the MBA course at PRTF must first review and meet the eligibility criteria of AKTU before proceeding with the application process.

ADMISSION PROCESS

Admission to the MBA in Agribusiness Management program will be conducted in accordance with the guidelines prescribed by AICTE, the Academic Council of AKTU, and the Government of Uttar Pradesh. Admission to the MBA in Agribusiness Management at AKTU or its affiliated colleges is based on the CUET PG exam, and candidates must hold a valid CUET PG score. The admission process for the MBA in Agribusiness Management program at AKTU is as follows:

  1. Register and apply for the CUET PG exam on the CUET PG website.
  2. After the CUET PG results are announced, candidates are shortlisted based on their scores.
  3. Shortlisted candidates must register for counselling on the AKTU website.
  4. Registered candidates are called for counselling and document verification.
  5. Shortlisted candidates who successfully complete the process must pay the course fee to confirm their seats.

ELIGIBILITY CRITERIA (As per AKTU guideline)

Admission to the MBA at AKTU is subject to meeting the eligibility criteria. The candidate must hold a Bachelor’s degree in Agriculture Sciences or a related discipline with at least 50% marks or an equivalent CGPA (45% for candidates belonging to SC, ST, or PWD categories).

The degree should be from a university incorporated by an Act of the Central or State legislature in India, an educational institution established by an Act of Parliament, or one deemed to be a university under Section 3 of the UGC Act, 1956. Alternatively, the degree must be recognized as equivalent by the Ministry of HRD, Government of India, or the Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR).

NUMBER OF SEATS

A maximum number of 60 students can be admitted to the MBA Agribusiness programme.

PROGRAM FEE

The annual fee structure for the MBA two-year program is as follows:
Academic session (2024-25) : INR 73200
Academic session (2025-26) : INR 67200
Note: If AKTU issues any notice or circular regarding a reduction in fees, the balance amount will be refunded to the students accordingly. Besides the fees mentioned above, students will have to bear the costs for industrial activities, training and placement (non-mandatory).

SCHOLARSHIPS

PRTF aspires to give the opportunity to pursue its programmes to all eligible applicants, who are in need of financial assistance. Keeping this in mind, PRTF has instituted a need-based scholarship scheme to complement the various scholarships provided by the industry and government. The scholarship amount is decided on the basis of several criteria such as academic performance, annual gross family income.
