Dr. Ranjit Kumar began his professional career as an ARS-Scientist at ICAR-Indian Agricultural Research Institute (IARI), New Delhi in 2000 (72nd FOCARS). After serving for approximately 6.5 years, he moved to ICAR-Indian Institute of Soil Science (IISS), Bhopal as a Senior Scientist. Subsequently, from 2017 to 2022, he served as the Head of the Agribusiness Management Division at ICAR-NAARM for 6 years. Currently, he holds the position of Principal Scientist in the same division at the Academy.

After about 15 years in the field, she joined the School of Environmental Sciences at Jawaharlal Nehru University as an Associate Professor. She is currently a Professor in the School of Environmental Sciences at Jawaharlal Nehru University, New Delhi, India.

Since 2014, he has been serving as the Director of the Institute, a position he continues to hold.
